Overview
Bridging Visas allow you to remain lawfully in Australia while your substantive visa application is being processed or while you arrange to leave the country. They are temporary visas that bridge the gap between visas.
Visa Subclasses
Bridging Visa A - Subclass 010
Automatically granted when you apply for a substantive visa in Australia, allowing you to stay but not travel.
Bridging Visa B - Subclass 020
Allows you to leave and return to Australia while awaiting a visa decision, if you need to travel.
Bridging Visa C - Subclass 030
For those without a valid visa at the time of application, often with no work rights.
